Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic - Night shift

Department: 51 Maintenance
Location: Oklahoma City, OK

The Maintenance Mechanic oversees and performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Working 12 hour night shift, this role is scheduled for approximately 15 days monthly. Priorities include management and execution of PM schedules, repair of any equipment that is needed to maintain maximum production rates and maintenance of an adequate spare parts inventory. This position requires the flexibility to work rotating 12 hour night schedule.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment.
  • Ensure that all scheduled Preventive Maintenance duties are completed in a timely manner.
  • Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Facilities Manager or his designee.
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition.
  • Communicate with all plant personnel.
  • Communicate with GF support services.
  • Follow all company Safety rules and guidelines in operating machinery.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements.
  • Sustain the 6S system throughout all work areas.
  • Support other Business Units.
  • Maintain and build job skills through company or external training programs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment that is not operating properly.
  • Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor.

This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:

  • Advanced industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic skills including troubleshooting.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Understanding of GF manufacturing process including troubleshooting.
  • Self-motivating.
  • Understand purpose and proper use of small hand and power tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and communicate to other plant personnel.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High School/Vocational School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Hydraulics, Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical.
